March 7, 2019 – In high school in the 1970s, I was one of the millions of American teenagers subjected to lame antidrug campaigns. A police officer came to my school and lectured us about the evils of marijuana, heroin and LSD. My friends and I half-listened; it didn’t bother us much because we were pleasantly stoned.
